Queer, Nerdy, Christian: Recipe for A Blog

After years (years!) of stopping and starting, I'm resolved to kick off a new blog.

What this blog will be:
Theological/spiritual thoughts about how God influences, challenges, and loves. Much of this will be through my lens as a parent, wife, nerd, and queer (lesbian) woman of faith.

Why do I think my identity and theology are important to share together?
It is extraordinarily difficult to find support on both sides of the "Gay Christian" coin. In my experience, faith community resources (i.e. devotionals) shy away from difficult topics. LGBTQ resources (blogs, Tumblr, etc) are typically athiest, if spiritual at all.
Then there's nerd culture and fandoms... Let's just agree that belongs in more places and we can find dozens of profound thoughts about Jesus through Battlestar Galactica, right?!

Please feel free to stay tuned and I hope I am able to share great messages of God's love with you, through my testimony.

With all this adjusting, I haven't left much room for myself to prepare for the small things, like my spiritual awareness. I haven't taken the time to pause and consider Lent, and upcoming Easter. This leaves me feeling a...
